Ro Grease

Hi all,

I've purchased an RO unit for my tank but when tightening up the membrane (very tight) it still seems to leak water out the top, in the instructions it says use grease, can i use any type of grease? obviously don't want to ruin the water using the wrong type.

Any type of silicone based lubricant, prefferrably a thicker one. Dont use petroleum based greases
