Rip Old Red

One of my oldest Bettas just named Old Red has finally died. He has been just old for weeks and several times in the last days I thought he had gone but he now has. My husband is quite relieved as his little tank has been in the kitchen with a gentle air stone as well as his heater and a tea towel round him so he wasnt stressed. Never took a photo of him but he was one of those that got me hooked on bettas and on this forum. Thanks Old Red.

Thanks, old red, for being that wonderful creature, a Betta. These little guys are so fanciful and individual, I have trouble not anthropomorphizing them.

I hope he is there waiting in that River inside the Gate. There are some pets that have earned that reward.
