Just got home from work to find my beautiful little guy stuck between the wall of his bowl and an ornament. He was dead. He must have been stuck there for a while because he had a little dent in the top of his head. Figures my husband doesn't even look at them or he would have noticed Storm wasn't moving.

Now I just have to convince hubby to let me get another one. Just hope I can find one as gorgeous as him.

So sorry that is horrible. It is almost hubbys fault so he needs to get you another one, Pity you are not near me they have some beauts at the mo.

RIP little fishy. :/

oh...

sry for your loss...
I've had a same encounter once too...
my poor thing must have bumped into one of those ceramic ornaments when i opened the door(as my tank was quite near the door and i just got that betta for two days)...

=\ Aww, poor thing. Guess it's time to redecorate the bowl though. And I hope he gets you a new one, after all it was just an accident. The same kinds of "getting stuck somewhere" accidents happen to all sorts of pets all the time and it can't entirely be the fault of the owner. Since the owner can't predict how confoundingly curious their pet will be, try as they might to prevent it in the first place.

Well, we went out and got another betta this afternoon. After I told my son that Storm had died, he was soooo sad. The look on his face about killed me. So out we went to the LFS. They had a huge variety, but only a few CT which is what I wanted. None of those were very pretty, so we decided on a beautiful VT instead. Once he gets settled, I will try to post a picture of him.
