1 of my albino cories died due to deteriorating water conditions caused by green water. it was too late this morning when i found my once active cory dead and upside-down, lying lifeless on the tank bottom.

i tested the ph and it read 6.0 (yellow on the color chart), although that probably only meant the ph was even lower than that.

i neglected changing the water for 2 weeks because someone on another forum said that the best way to get rid of the green water was to let the algae consume all the nutrients, so not to introduce new water.

let this be a warning to everyone who has yet to experience deaths due to green water that keeping the ph in the proper range for your fish is more important than getting rid of the algae problem.
