Hello!
I have a Rio 180 (litres) which is very well planted and has bogwood, lots of hiding places and a sand substrate.

Current occupants are -
10 cardinal tetras
3 bolivian ram
5 serpae tetras
4 norman's lampeye
2 bristlenose plecs
3 african dwarf frogs
2 zebra danios
2 guppies

Tank has been running for around 8 months now and everyone is happy and all get on. Levels are good and remain stable.

What do you think of the stocking level? I am wondering if it is possible to add any more fish, but I do not want to overstock.

thanks!
L

None of those fish get big so i would imagine you could add quite a bit more fish.I have the same tank and have quite a bit more fish than you plus the majority of them are cichlids and i have a 10 inch clown knife which take up alot of space, eventually i will have to move to a bigger tank but for now there happy :)

Thanks!
I was thinking of adding some congo tetras or some rainbows. I think they are both great fish. Do you think that would work?

If I was to add anymore fish, it would be more zebra danio's, you only have 2 and they like to be in groups.

If your going for 3 bolivian rams, make sure you either get 1 male 2 females, or 1 male 1 female as they can become quite teritorial if you get all males...

Thanks!

if it's rainbow cichlids you're talking about then there ok but will probs eat your tetras when they get bigger, congo tetras though are one of the best looking tetras i've ever seen and are really stunning when fully developed, i would recommend those
