Rift Lake Setups

Reading through the forum theres alot of people thinking about stating an aquarium with malawis in and so i thought it would be handy if we all posted pics of our setups and specs for how we run it and stocking levels.

i kno theres a members photo gallery but the people wanting to kno about malawis are all sent here.

ill start.

Tank - Fluval Duo Deep 1200

Gallons - 55G

Filter - Fluval 4+ Internal Filter

Heater - 1 x 300w heater

Substrate - Crushed Coral

Tank Decor used - Limestone

Plants - Unknown name, see pic.

Stocking - 3 Yellow Labs, Cobalt Blue Zebra and a Melanochromis Cyaneorhabdos. More to be ID'd. (would help if they didnt change colour lol.) and my cleaner who stopped a brown algae breakout in about 24 hours, L001 Pleco

A good idea, but I would suggest also stating the age of the set-up, as many people think they have achieved success before the fish have even approached their true territorial nature. Basically, recommending livestock really only has merit if the fish are all adults.

my tanks only been running a few months and there no where near adulthood yet i dont think.
