Am I right in thinking that the only maintenance you need to do with riccia is scoop out the floating bits and that's it? If so then I really am considering it for my new tank, aswell as alot of other projects! Thanks,

Neal

Yep and it quickly becomes a pain in the ass :D

Believe me, you will be forever scooping, I am trying to gradually get it out of my tank as it takes over and shades my other plants so quickly.

If you follow the instructions in the pinned topic then its really not too much hassle. You will have to re- do it every month otherwise it does get messy tho, but it looks great when its pearling :D

Might give it a miss then, as I can't be chewed to retie it every month, and also it isn't going to have that much light over the tank so it won't look as nice...

Just thought i'd ask, do any of you have any riccia you don' mind sharing? I'd like to fill my little tank with it.

:good:

Same here, but Jay get's first priority as he was first to ask, I might aswell give it a try, if it doesn't work then I can atleast say i've tried.

Well I did sort of ask in your topic lol, you have first me second sounds good to me :D lol.

:good:

Nah mate, you gave me the idea, and it's not as if I was asking for riccia from the start, so you have first priority. Also, i'm not in a hurry for it!
