hi guys thiis is my first post on this website so please bear with me !!

ive recently been inspired by may of the beautiful planted tanks ive seen on this site and went ahead to convert my jewel vision 450ltr tank to a planted tank rather than all fake plants.

the tank is running with an ehiem pro2 external filter and the standered lights that came with the tank.

anyway the problem is i have just put a piece of bog wood and a piece of slate in the tank coverd with riccia - i followd the advice in the thread on the site on how to do this - and the fish have become obsessed with the riccia and have done nothing but take chunks out of it and let it alot of it float to the surface. there is still a good amount on the slate ect but it is patchy.

will this grow back in??

thanks

The gaps wont grow back but the rest will grow enough to cover or semi cover dependant on how big the gaps are.

just let the stuff ripped off grow at the surace and then tie it down when you have enough of it.

grows better at the suface
