Volume and Frequency of water changes:40% every wednesday
Chemical Additives or Media in your tank:dechlorinator nutrafin aqua plus, plant ferts nutrafin plantgro 15ml weekly, used Myxazin to treat finrot started 5 day course after a water change 18-1-12 used filter media for 2 weeks after treatment.Tank up and running 1 year, Tank filtration fluval 2 and and fluval u4 (u4 added 2 months ago) internal filters sponges changed alternatley , heater fluval, 2x18" Arcadia bulbs.
Tank inhabitants:1 female betta,1 marble hatchett,1 bristlenose cat,2 neons,1 rainbow shark, and 1 diamond tetra. i know neons dianonds and hatchetts need more mates but i wont add anything until ive solved the problems i have.
Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration):Tank decor is 3 small pieces of bogwood, 1 purple slate cave, java ferns and another plant im not sure of it grows quite fast with small soft bright green leaves and roots that drape down from the upper parts. I remove any plant matter that falls off every couple days.
Exposure to chemicalsnly thing i can think of here is that theres a tumble dryer in the adjoining open room i have allways been suspect of this but my tank location was chosen due to the old tank springing a leak. Soon as i get this sorted ive got a fluval roma 240 being prepared for relocation but i want to use the existing water and filter medias, decor ect from this existing tank to run the new tank and equipment in with.
