Hi all

Long time no post! Well I've decided to remodel my Vision 180 as a planted tank, possibly with CO2 at some point.

A couple of years ago I remember reading Jimboo's thread(s) on planted tanks and have wanted to do something similar for ages and now I'm in the position to do so.

Anyway, I was just wondering which ricca is best - dwarf riccia or riccia fluitians and where is best to buy from please?

Thanks
Pete

I perosnally would avoid riccia at all costs. It's a pain in the next, and you must trim it and constantly scoop it from the top and retie it. Don't let anyone fool you...even the best tyings need to be redone. I have recentl read of a good exception, where you can use sproradically planted hairgrass to spread and hold down the ricca. It also does well wtihin java moss. I don't recommend tie it down to a rock at all.
