In my 120g tank I have 1 Red Tailed Shark and a Ruby\Rainbow Shark. Both of them are about 7 inches long and healthy with no marks or wounds or even nipped fins.
Every so often I catch them side by side trying to push the other one in the opposite direction. This is not always in the same area of the tank so I dont think it is a territorial dispute but could be wrong.
When they are not doing this 'dance' they are swimming around together rummaging for food and exploring.
As I said they never hurt each other but I cannot figure out why they continue these moves if they spend the rest of their time chillin with each other.
Any ideas people???
