Reuse Tank Water ....

.... so when i clean the bottom of the tank with the syphon , i clean out a load of crud and take away a lot of water , is there any reason not to reuse the water when the crud has settled to the bottom of the bucket ....
 
U do waterchanges to also get the nitrate out of the water and u dont want to be putting it back in
 
I use my the water from my water changes for wotering my house plants crud as well, house plants doing great also tried it on my garden plants.

Yes, doing water changes replaces water with high nitrates with water with lower nitrates, amongst other things. You can use the dirty water to rinse your filter sponges, and if you have a garden or house plants that crud and dirty water are great for them.

Your fish will always benefit from fresh water :good: if it was practical for me to do daily water changes I would, and many people do.

thanks all , never thought about using it on the plants , i have just been pouring it down the drain ....
