I kept 14 tanks 30+ years ago but went to work in the morning when I came back over 1000 fish of diferant kinds were dead... the electricity went down for 8 hours mid winter. so I lost interest now I have started keeping and breeding neocaradena shrimps..

Hello welcome aboard! I hope your experience with us is not as diabolical as the story your introduced yourself with I'm sure many of us would have been discouraged enough to quit the hobby after that! But...do we ever really quit? Glad you made it back!

I had 50tanks wipe out like that, with an 8 day post icestorm blackout. Poor fortune is always possible, but what the heck - we start again. If you're posting here, I'll wager the thought has crossed your mind.
