So I was at my favorite LFS today to get salt and on a whim checked out their bettas. Usually they aren't that impressive but today they the most beautiful betta I have ever seen outside of this forum! I checked out tanks they had and came VERY close to getting a 60$ Fluval Edge kit and coming home with this betta! I can't really afford it at the moment and my hubby would have killed me! So, I have decided to save 5 or 10 bucks a week until I get 100$ so I can get a really nice home for it and then go on the hunt for a fish that looked like this one. It was gorgeous, bright maroon with those huge fins that have the spiky look. I swear the fins were almost 2 inches long! It's futile, I think the betta bug has bit!

My sister adopted one from a centerpeice at a wedding. Boy did she love herman the german aka herm the germ. Anytime she was around he'd swim to her side and give her puppy eyes and just sit there.

He grew so big and bright and she took such food care of him.

Later he was taught to jump out of his tank, straight up, and snatch the worms right out of her hand.

It was cool.

They are amazing. Bulldog Fred's tank sits between mine and Mrs. doodle's chair. When I reach to turn on the lights he comes a runnin for food. But builds bubble nests and shows off for Mama.
