Hi all,

Currently running a 180L Jewul rio tank with original lighting, Black sand, Bogwood, Some dark Graphite and some small live plants.

The tank is effectively a Tetra tank with a mix of neon/glowlight and black neon, Also have a few Oto's and a Clown plec.

What i am considering is changing the black sand for white sand and removing the live plants, i want to add some large resin ornaments and looking at a marine white florescent light.

The questions i have are...

1.will the Marine white Florescent light negate the bright colours of the tetra's?
2.What wattage florescent light should i get?
3.Is white sand easy to clean.
4.finally will this rescape look good?

This is the light i am thinking of getting http://www.seapets.co.uk/products/aquarium-supplies/fish-tank-equipment/aquarium-lighting/fluorescent-t5-light-tubes/juwel-high-lite-tube-marine-438mm-24-watt.html

Would these tubes just fit into my current setup, Is it worth getting a blue one with it?

I basically want to make the rescape look reeflike (without any live rocks) and only using tropical fish not salt water.

they should fit if they
are made by juwel as the
tank can be used for marine and
fresh water so i dont see why not

If u are going from black to White sand then u will notice a massive difference to the cleanliness of it. It won't be any more dirty or difficult to clean but it will show up everthing. Plus black sand brings out the colours of the fish. I wouldn't change the sand but the rest sounds good.
