Ok, I have just re-done my tank with new plants and an ornament from another tank and cleaned everything. How long shall I wait before I put my male VT in it and should I have my filter on or off?

Filters aren't really necessary for 2 gals... hopefully you have it on a very low setting. As long as the temperature is the same and the water is treated, just add him whenever.

Really, it's not a huge deal! Just chillax.

I have just added him, must of been before you posted. The water in the tank is alot warmer than the cube as it has a heater, and he seems to be fine now, I think he's exploring, thanks for telling me what a planter is...
