Removing Meds

I have been using Protozin to clear up suspected whitespot. Rhetorical advice is to remove the med with water changes and carbon 48 hours after the last dose, but the manufacturer doesn`t mention removing the product so
what would happen if I just relied on my usual 25% weekly water changes, would it stress or harm the fish or biofilter ?

Many fish medications are toxic to the fish, so I would personally do a 50% water change (with a comprehansive vacuum of the tank floor) and re-introduce the carbon, if the fish are now Ich free and you have given the Protozin 48 hours to kill any remaining spores.

But then I am still learning...

no need to do anything at all. you only need to remove any traces if you esnt to start with another med. just stick with your normal waterchange routine , the fish will not come to any harm , or the filter.
