Removing An Air Pump...

I have had a bubbler going in my 55 gals for several years and the fish are use to it,i have just added a circulation pump (hydor koralia nano)to aid circulation and hopefully stop any dead spots...

Would it have any effect on the tank if i removed the bubbler? i was thinking oxygen wise?

Any help appreciated

No, you will incur no problems, adequate gaseous exchange will occur without an airstone.

My fish like to play in the bubbles and that's fun to watch. Blue bubbles look nice but I doubt they have any impact on oxygen levels.

how do you get blue bubbles without electrocuting the fish?

The bubble wand is inside a housing that has 6 blue LED's and the electrical connection is waterproof. You can get red, green or white LED's also.

Right now I'm using a Top Fin 8000 but my Fusion 200 worked just as well.

I have now removed it,yep not enough sockets,already have 6 plugs coming off one socket,didn't want to overload it anymore

oh crikey, 4 exhausts, I have a interpet ap3 with 2 outlets at 180 l/h each and a modified inlet to deaden down the noise by using each stroke of one cylinder to cancel out the noise of the other one. Result? A 360 l/h air pump that makes almost no noise at all but is still enough to ruffle their dorsal fins!

you could but it would probably look unsightly unless it was under the flooor boards (which would take a one hell of a lot of work to do)
