as an inexperienced fish keeper, i purchased a common pleco 6 or 7 years ago. he is a monster now, but im obviously very attached to him. I know i have rehouse him for his benefit, and for the benefit of the rest of my fish. But how does everyone cope? Ive had him longer than most people have hamsters or gerbils. Or other pets :p It'll be really sad :( im not saying im not going to do it, its just going to be hard :(

sorry you have to make this decision i personally have never had to make this ard decision as i have alwasys been lucky enough to get a larger tank when needed.
maybe you can find someone who lives close to you that can take him, at least that way you may be able to visit him and find out how he is getting on :(

yeah it's a really tough call, you just have to remember it's what's best for the fish.

if you can find him a home with someone who either lives nearby or you are in contact with so you can get pics and updates :)

Genie where are you from? You could find someone on here with room so you can contact them easily via the net. Just a thought. Its a shame you have to rehome your little fella
