Red-tailed black shark

I bought my first ever tropical fish TODAY!! I've been recomended some starter fish and I have got them. I want to buy a red-tailed shark how long should I wait before I buy him for my tank.

i was tolled not to get one there nice but they grow big and will eat the rest of your fish

First of all welcome to the forum. You need to go to tropical chit chat and ask your questions about fish You will get a much better response there...But Redtails sharks are more like bottom feeders and I think the biggest one I have ever seen is about 8 inches or so..
