Personally if the fish under 3" I don't see a problem with it. But if the fish gets over 3" then you must relocate it. This is also if you have this fish alone with no other fish.

how about a nice 3 foot tank with a shoal of tiger barbs and a lovely oscar? (or some other cichlid) lol i'm not too good with cichlids you see

Forget the cichlid (particularly the oscar in a 3ft ) and that'll work.

BGK's can reach anything up to 2 feet - so again, way too big for the tank i'm afraid.

Hmm wat about some cichlids mine sharks and cichlids get on just fine and look grrreat too!

I 2nd this, Red Tails and cichlids, african or american do very well togeather. If you get an agressive shark, it will kill anything you put in with it other than cichlids. They tend to get along with cichlids very will though. Got one myself with a bunch of mbuna's, great match. Assuming you get a bigger tank that is.
