Red Tail Shark

I kept my RTBS in a 29g from the time I bought (about 2 years ago at .5") him until around a year ago. He grew fine in it but when I put him in a 55g, he took off like a weed and is now the second biggest fish in there after my adult female Bristlenose (roughly 4" with the RTBS just behind at 3.8"). Definitely don't do anything smaller than 30 gallons for a RTBS.

Am a bit unsure as to what to do with him now as he seems happy and i don't want to stress him by moving him.

Trust me, a little stress from moving him
won't be as bad as stunting him in there.

You'll have to move/rehome him I'm affraid,
But it wasnt your fault.

The fish shop i bought him from has now closed down. Will have to get a bigger tank.

Between 4-6" approximately. They are a mid-sized tropical fish on the smaller side of the scale. They aren't as demanding as some similar sized fish but they do like their territory and can be quite aggressive with other fish, especially ones that are conspecific or look similar.
