curious if anyone has any info if the 2 can mix in a 10 gallon tank. The tank will have the following stock in the end:

2 Molly
2 Oto
1 Red Tail Shark

the tank has very good filtration (30 gallons worth in total). The tank has been running for a week or 2 now and has had no issues at all. By this I mean its cycled, I moved my stock and filter from one of my 5 gallon with the filter media and slowly have added and all I have right now is 2 oto, 1 full sized molly and some molly fry of various ages. I will be giving away the molly fry to replace with a balloon Molly. The shark would not be added for awhile but this is just an idea that me and my gf are looking into. Also if not a red tailed shark, would anything similar work? Louche are also good.

An adverage RTBS in a 10g will caurse a blood bath, so I'd advise you to scratch him from teh stocking plan. This said, OI know a few people can make that work, but a lot of it depends upon the personality of the RTBS, somthing you won't find out untill you get the fish home

Ruby Shark could be more likely to work, but still not recomended...

Other than that, all looks good :good:

All the best

was talking to my gf and also thought of coolie loach but we arnt sure if one would fit and if I need more, I know there shy if not in groups.

Take out the rtbs and you could fit 5-6 coolie loaches in there. They are a very low bio load fish.Yes have 1 coolie loach and you would surely almost never see it.I have many (started with 8 and they have multiplied, 15-20? now) You should get atleast 5 to get them to show up a bit more and be happy.

i only have one khuli and he always comes out at feeding time. esp if the lights are off wehn i feed the bottom dwellers. id like to get more at some point, but mine is an active little guy, esp. at night.

mwood kuhli loaches are only small, are you perhaps thinking of some other kind of loach? you seem a little shocked you could have more than one :)
you could easily have a small group of them in your tank but be warned they do hide a lot!
