Hi I have just lost an angel fish to a cloudy eye and can post pics but don't know what this is also my other angel fish have red steaking to there fins and a little on face so can someone please advise I am going to pet shop tomorrow but not sure what to buy

Sounds to me like some form of internal hemorrhaging, although there are other possibilities. This can occur due to poor water quality I believe, but you'd have to check on that one.

Just a thought but could it be fin rot ?

I have a 160 litre tank and did a 20% water change on Sunday along with filter maintenance and tests ph 6.5 ammonia 0.0 and nitrates 0.1. I've turned to this forum as the small pet shop workers near me don't seem to have good advice

It could be fin rot, although I highly doubt it as there would be some visible damage to the fins before any redness set in. I really think that it sounds like Bacterial hemorrhagic septicemia as the face and fins are common places for this to occur. Photos would be useful if you could put any up?

I am new to this as my boyfriend bought the tank but got frustrated with the fish dying so ive taken over lol. I have noticed fraying of the fins on some of the fish too

There could also be an element of fin rot, in that case.
Make sure that you keep your water quality high by doing the required water changes. This will help a great deal if fin rot is the problem here. Fin rot is caused by a type of bacteria and if your fish are frequently stressed for some reason or there is fin-nipping occurring in the tank, this will worsen the problem. Try to get some photos on here and I'll have a look at them. You could also try having a look on the internet to see if you can find any similar looking problems in other fish to gain an understanding of what the problem is before you begin to medicate. :good:
