red filter

fluval 2+ filter,filter media has suddenly changed from white to red can anyone explain please.

it's dirty...depending on the food i feed my fish the sponge ranges from yellow to brown to orange to red....

Have you added any medications reciently, as some meds can change the colour of your sponges!
