We woke up this morning after being away for the weekend and saw that our two red devil cichlids had babies. We have about 200 fry in there I believe. We are going to the pet store to buy fry food, but is there anything I should be doing to ensure they stay healthy? I've never had my fish breed before, will most of these babies live? Or only a few? Also, will pet stores buy them once they get larger? I have some friends and family that would take some, but I surely can't place ALL these babies. I know I'm totally inexperienced in breeding fish, so please excuse any misconceptions I have. I'd love advice, as I'm somewhat clueless!

Congrats.

I'd be surprised if they all survived. If you do a good job looking after them you may get 50.

Lfs will sometimes buy them, sometimes offer store credit for them, sometimes will take them but not pay and some won't take them at all. So it's good to check.

Other than that I don't know too much. But good luck.
