Red Cherry Shrimp?

im wondering what fish you can keep Red Cherry Shrimp with,

the basic rule of thumb is if the shrimp will fit in its mouth the fish will eat it. So that rules out a lot of larger fish, pretty much any cichlids, although some people have had success with a few dwarf cichlids in a heavily planted tank, the shrimp will probably hide a lot as they feel threatened.

which fish were you thinking of keeping them with? and what is your tank size and is it planted?

54 litre, 60x30x30cm, im cycling the tank so there is nothing in it yet but i would like to work out what im going to put in it, it will be planted, I was thinking of kuhli loach, green neon tetra, guppies, Cardinal Tetra and Rummynose Tetra,

I don't know about the loaches but I think you would be fine with all the tetras.

will be fine with those fish. Don't have any experience with the kuhlis, but I don't think they are capable of harming a adult cherry shrimp.

I agree that those fish look fine. I am considering putting some shrimp into another of my tanks which has kuhlis, and I've been told I should be ok. However, my tank is very heavily planted, and I will add full grown adults to be on the safe side. I'd only add shrimp once there are loads of hiding places, and the tank is well planted.

You will be fine with those fish, including the kuhlis. Their mouth is too small to have a shrimp fit in there. I keep my cherries with cherry barbs and they are fine.
