hi, i was just wondering how many red bellied piranas i could have in a tank 36"L X 15"D X 22"H, i have no idea how many gallons/litres the tank is

theres an aquarium calculator at the top of your screen so have a crack at that for your gallons

I would imagine you could keep only one in that tank due to the size they get

I have 9 in a 150galon tank and I wouldn;t recommend them unless ina group as its the group behaviour which makes them look a more pleasing fish to keep

thanx for the advice mate, how would u suggest i stock a 156 litre tank? i dont want guppies or molllies or any of the normal fish u see, i want to make my tank look different

no worries I can understand that

I would personally keep some dwarf snakeheads and try and get a pair

Channa Orientalis or Channa Pulchra make intersting tank mates, classed as oddballs extre,ely easy to keep eat anything and aren;t delicate

or try a brackish tank... just need salt mix and a hydrometer to measure salinity and you could keep puffers or knight gobies, waspfish etc

have a good trawl through this site and I;m sure you;ll get some ideas. I;ll think of some others bit tired at the moment heads not thinking straight lol
