Recommended Cichlids For Community Tank?

I have 5 fairly large keyholes and they are amazing, but need dither fish to thrive (I have congo tetra and black neons for this)

I also have got a gold severum who is like a pet dog, he is so friendly and never shy, people are amazed at how he comes up to the glass and follows their fingers along it

I also have a bunch of very young cichlids (see how it turns out!) - 1 blue acara, 2 firemouths, 3 geophagus (red) and an adult sized festivum who is very friendly and peaceful

I have kept rams before and found them extremely sensitive, despite good husbandry, dwarf cichlids need certain water conditions and my hard water area couldn't cut it for them at all

I think a good colourful male krib (with no other kribs) would make a good addition, as long as it's not allowed to spawn, as the pink/yellow colouring is stunning and they are hardy

Thanks Scot. I've been in there once before, but never really paid much attention as I hadn't actually bought a tank at that point.

Any form of Cichlid won't be going in for a while yet. I just wanted to get a plan for what I could have. I love apistos and rams, so would like to get a couple of each, but don't want the aggression, so might have to be a single of each so they don't spawn and attack anything.

I'm planning on getting a ph tester this week to check out my water and then add some cardinals in with the guppies. By the looks of it, I'm going to need an algae eater (otto) as I'm getting loads of algae even with plants. Then I'm going to start thinking about the fancier fish that I want to put in. Gold nugget pleco would be the other fish I'm desperate for.
