"No one is a failure unless you try"
I've had a couple of deaths recently, but it took the death of my favourite male to prompt me to make this thread, so here we go...
First was Malachi. He was my very first CT, ordered from Aquabid. He was a very strange fish who never even once flared or blew a bubblenest for me, and wasn't very active either. I loved him all the same, though. He never ate anything but pellets, and even refused live bloodworm and frozen brine shrimp, and this personality quirk is also why he wouldn't eat pea for me when he developed bloat from constipation and consequently died from it... He was around 3 years old.
Next was my brand new, unnamed copper DT from my LFS. I just found him dead one day for no apparent reason... no bite marks, no sign of disease, nothing. I still have yet to figure that one out. I had him for a week or less.
And lastly, my little Yura. He went downhill fast, and I have no idea what caused it. First he became constipated and pea didn't help, then his fins began to quickly rot away and he became very lethargic. At the end his eyes were sunken in a little... Medicine and water changes didn't help, and I'm still not sure what happened. I'm just glad I was at my grandmother's house this weekend and he was gone when I came home, I don't think I could have stood to watch him die. He was probably around 2 years old, and at least he's free from pain now.
RIP my little ones
