How about sea monkeys?

You laugh, but I have a 2 gallon 'sea-monkey' tank, with a filter, light, sand substrate and tufa rock as decorations, it's been set up for nearly a month now .

I was actually serious...I set some up for my niece and she loves them Maybe I laugh too much

I always wanted Sea Monkeys, there were ads for them in the backs of the American comics we use to get on holiday in Dorset (oddly) but my dad wouldn't let me have them ("waste of bl'dy money").

Maybe I will get some too now I am like 38 and don't have to ask my dad

Spider Plant.

They look nice, you can forget to water them and they don't die (immediately), they trail, so it will look nice on the wall, and no fishes will get hurt.

I'd do that and stick it in one of my vivariums, up to you though.
