Received Fish Torture Chamber For Christmas

Or some kind of hanging plant that will root and live in water such as pothos.

Or paint the inside so you can't see through it, soil it, and stick a bonsai tree in it or any kind of plant really.

Or you could put some of those plants in it that live off of the moisture in the air and don't have to be planted at all. I forget what they're called here but I see em for sale everywhere.

Spider Plant.

They look nice, you can forget to water them and they don't die (immediately), they trail, so it will look nice on the wall, and no fishes will get hurt.

if you have any breeding pairs of fish in your other tanks then use the bowl as a hospital or fry tank. If a fish is ill you can just fill it with the aquarium water when needed and do a water change everyday- no filter needed. You can do the same for fry, put in a bit of the aquarium water into the bowl and the fry can have a little tank for themselves- 1 gal is the right size until they grow too large! You could also put water plants in it with normal water- just without fish!

I'd go with the planter idea personally :D I've seen these tanks and I certainly wouldn't put anything in it and expect it to live happily or be healthy for long :(

You could turn it into an Ant Farm similar to the NASA space gel ones by buying the gel and filling it up yourself... You will need a lid of some variety though. Here's a picture of what i'm on about!

I've found the gel for sale here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000NJ2I62?tag=no...amp;camp=211189

:good:

What about finding out where they bought it from and taking it back to exchange it for something usefull?

How about sea monkeys?
You laugh, but I have a 2 gallon 'sea-monkey' tank, with a filter, light, sand substrate and tufa rock as decorations, it's been set up for nearly a month now :hyper: .

Personally, since I already have a 'sea-monkey' set-up, I'd go with the terrestrial plant idea. I also have a 2.5 gal tank that I use for carnivorous plants. I think an easy Nepenthes would look great with its pitchers hanging out there :good:.

Like this species, or this one :).

Remember, all plants will need light in the form of natural light from a window, or a florescent aquarium light will do.

Thats the most sensible option in the entire thread.
