I will be planting aprox. 50-53 plants in my 75g and I was advised over a few things by the company owner who grows them. One was if not using a C02 injector, that I need a good liquid C02... He suggested Seachem Excel. Any thoughts or recommendations? We have to buy the whole tank set-up flat out in 2 weeks and the C02 injector was putting me wayyyy over budget. I Will be getting a T-5 dual light hood.

It will work out expensive for a tank tank that size, but I use easy carbo in conjunction with tpn+ and have lots of lush green healthy growth.

I'd inject on a tank that size or you'll be using like 10ml a day lol

haha thanks for the offer...the postage will probably buy a bottle. :hyper: I have started to read about C02 injection but the equipment seems pretty expensive and I'm right at my budget line....just bought a 46g and now buying a 75g. INSANE!!! I'll be feeding my family sandwiches for a month haha

besides it seems so intimidating and the liquid seems mild.

hmm Can you guys suggest some good reading on C02 systems....it may be something I can look into "next month" Who needs food, other then the fishes? Who needs common household necessity's?

I say bread and water for us all and the fishes shall live in PARADISE!!!!!!

Dont put any filling in the sandwiches and go buy the CO2 kit LOL

Have any of you experienced plant growers had good results with liquid co2? I have been reading and reading about the co2 systems and think that may be a good xmas gift NEXT year for me, by then I will have had plenty of time to get the hang of managing all the components of my tanks since I'm cycling my first tank still and about to set up the other... I am also worried about setting up a pressurized system right now with my demon child 2 year old into everything...need to have the tank around awhile so the novelty will wear off the the kids won't pay attention to the child proofing on the cabinets {which he already learned to open FISH FLAKES EVERYWHERE!!!}

All of that said...I'm spending A LOT on this amazing plant package and lighting, and don't want my plants to die. Will they be ok with liquid co2 and fertilizer? I planned to buy both Seachem's flourish and flourish excel. sigh

Depends on what planting pack and lighting it is... The light is the main driver at the end of the day. If it is high light then you will definately need carbon. If you need carbon then you will definately need fertiliser for the plants to use the carbon to it's full potential. The fertiliser must also be fully comprehensive and contain micro and macro nutrients and trace elements.

This is the light...the 48" Freshwater. The Light Fixture w/ bulbs

The plant package is an assortment really...there will be 50-53 plants, luckily it s a small company and they pick the plants specifically for your setup, so i'll be doing that over the phone with them...

Link doesn't work mate, i think you have left the http: in...

the company sounds very good if they offer that kind of service, should be good. :)
