I have a sick male betta. He was in a community tank but I moved him to his own 28l tank on tuesday night. The tank had been fishlessly cycled. He was fine wednesday, this morning he was hanging out at the top but I was in a rush for work and didn't look too closely but I've just looked at him now and his eyes have cotton wool like stuff stuck to them and he's just very still at the bottom of the tank. I offered one flake of food and he swam up didn't eat it and went back to the bottom.
I checked the levels: ammonia and nitrites 0, nitrates 5ppm and pH 7.6.
What's wrong with him??? What should I do???
