okay i noticed the scum/bubbles started to creep up my co2 tubing leading to the bubble ladder as i'd overdone the yeast mixture.

obviously if the yeast gets into the tank we have a big problem on our hands so smacking my forhead i thought..great, stupid now you've gotta pull it all apart and wash out the tubing. not the biggest disaster but hey i couldn't be bothered.

then the brainwave hit me.

- pull the tubing off of the canister (leaving the ladder and that end of the tube in the tank)

- suck gently on the end of the tube to start a syphon.

- dump end in a bucket and let the water flow.

in the process of a very slow water change the tubing gets washed clean.

yeehaa 2 birds with one stone. and easier than washing it out in the sink.

just thought i'd share that, it's obvious but i'm sure you haven't all thought of it before.
