Well my pregnant guppy lives by herself in a fully filtered 2.5 gallon tank, she is very social so today I decided that i would add the first of her fry which is now a month old. and what a great success they are both swimming around together the baby won't leave its mothers side it is so cute to watch, one of the reasons of adding the fry was to give mum some company for a while the other getting ut used to a filter before it moves to 1 of the 15 gallons, there is just the one fry the other died a day after birth, this 1 is fighting fit and was very quite and hid alot when on its own now it is happily following mums lead and becoming more confident when i am near. Will try get a picture of the two of them later :good: This just proves that guppies are sociable, mine anyway

EDIT:Heres the pics, some together some individual :good:

Very sweet together and a nice set up there too! Always nice when all the hard work finally pays off, enjoy it. :)

Thanks :good: baby will be in there a few weeks max, just to get used to having a filter and a lil more space to go, aswell as getting used to other fish :good:

That's cool that you fish like hanging out together! The babies in my tank are kind of ignored and sometimes pushed around! At least thay have learned to stay out of the way of the bigger fish!!! Lol, good luck with your fry!

good luck i agee its cool that they hang out most of the time they try to beat each other up but ur fry looks quite big so that might not happen

well she is a month old so big enough, the mother has always been very gentle, i could leave her with newborns and she wouldn't bother them, but i like to seperate them so i can keep a close eye on there growth and make sure there eating enough :good:
