Re New Tank

well its been a long time since ive been on here ,just thought id drop in and say hellow to you all ,just set a new seven foot tank up all is going well how is every one doing ok i hope

Are you sure you are afish addict or a shepherd dog addict? :lol:

Do I see it right that the second picture is a dutch shepherd? I use to have one, they are such lovely and intelligent dogs, more intelligent than the german shepherd in my opinion :good:

haha No it is a Dark sable male full blooded german shepherd about 9 months old in that particular picture

I personally feel that anything mixed with a Malinois is a bad idea when young children are around of which I have 2! I love my GSD's and I'm a bit of both. I'm addicted to my fish tank and it drives me insane that I am fully stocked and have no room for another large tank. Although I do have puppies due next Monday from the two dogs at the end of the sig line! I train my GSD's religiously and compete with them and my fish I stare at when I'm not training the dogs!

Lets see if I can explain this.. The order of the sig line is Chief, Angus, Gali, Olex, Alexaveer.

Chief and Angus are 1/2 brothers.
Alexaveer is the mother to both Chief and Angus.
Olex is the father of Angus but not Chief.
Gali is another female we bought as a pup.
Olex and Alexaveer have pups due May 17!

my friends really into GS.. he has a dog thats been shunzen trained. (if thats how you spell it) apparently its quite famouse too. http

We train ours in Schutzhund also. That one in particular looks to have some showlines in it going by the sloping croup (sloped back)

Dutch shepherds are not necessary mixed with malinois (belgian shepherd). Sometimes they do this as dutch shepherds are not that fertile. Mine was absolutely children proof! At that time I had a lot of little nephews and children from my neighbours around, and it was never a problem. They tried to train him as a police dog and apparently failed, or got disappointed and left him in the woods, until we rescued him from a dogs asylum.

yeh the sloping backs is very noticeable. i dont know diddley squat about them but my mate is always going on about them. hes currently looking for a husky to train up. are they any good to train from what you know

Huskies are runners. You have to have lots and lots of room. Those things will run for days if they get loose. They can be very stubborn because they are fairly intelligent in their own right. But of course trainibility I'd say not so much! Our idea of an intelligent dog is one that we can teach to do what we want it to do. Huskies on the other hand do what they want to do!
