its a bit diffrent to the wild as in the wild the female as loads of space to get away from the male when she is getting beat up

in a tank the male wont give in until he gets what he wants or he kills the female trying

the chances of breeding motoro is higher than anyother type of rays but the death of the females is also much higher

im sure they only had birthing vids on there last time i looked :good:
mating looks a bit violent dont it

the mating is aggressive but dont forget thats p14 breeding motoro are 10 x worse

im fairly confident my female wont take much crap of the male when the time comes to breed
she will be so much bigger and stronger than him wont she :shifty:

very nice pair you have cane :D wish you the best with breeding them in the future :good:
thx will :good:

getting the male female sizes right is the key to ray breeding

the male being much bigger than the female is a good thing as he wont be able to do as much damage if they are both about the same size

but the male then has a slight disavantage of try to turn a much bigger female upside down to breed

i didnt think of the possible problem with my small male not being able to over power the female,on top of that females grow faster than males dont they?
so the size difference between mine is going to stay so big
what size should the secound female i introduce be?

you may be OK with the sizes the growth rate of the female will slow down

as long as the 2nd female is close to the males size it should be ok as he will always show more intrest in the more marue female

the 2nd female will just be a decoy i know someone who has 2 x females 1 x male and over the last 3-4 yrs the male has only ever bred with the 1 female yet both females are the same size

the females growth has slowed down a lot in the last few months and the male is growing much faster than her now.
so why is having a 2nd female important if the male is likely to ignore her?
