I was moving around the rocks and driftwood in my tank the other day and took my about total of 10 minutes with my arm in the tank, the next day I woke up I found I have a rash on the spot where my arm touching the edge of the top of the fish tank, and another rash on my neck. I put some med for mosquito bites (only thing I have at home) but it's not going away, I must been doing a bad job maintaining my fish tank and now I get the suffer. :shout:

The likelihood is that you've had a allergic reaction to something involving your tank. Calcium buildups, food deposits etc...Can all cause a reaction. Me it's if i feed my fish and then rub my eyes or scratch my nose i get puffy eyes for days and then sneezes etc. It should go away on it's own.

It's pinkish and yes it itches, I try not to scratch it but sometimes just can't help it.
Do you guys know what med is good for this that I can get over the count?
If it doesn't go away in another day or two then I will go see a doctor.

If the skin is not broken then either camomile or an anti allergy cream. If it is broken then try an anti histamine.

It's an allergy, histamine causes irritation, take some antihistamine and wear gloves in the future.

I see, I'll go get some antihistamines after work.
I was very careful and washed my whole arm with soap immediately, I'll put on something next time.
Thank you guys =)

wash your hands after being near the fish tank in really hot water, as hot as you can bear. if you get rash again, antihistimines right away and hot water on rash (as soon as you take hands out of water).

Im terrible, i scrub my arms with the alcohol handgel so many times in a day its wricking my skin

But everyone loves a job with a bit of danger involved :good: like working with fish when you are allrgic to them LOL

If the reaction happens again and is worse or different, make notes of what you have touched (water, algae, frozen foods, fish etc) and see what common factors there are and go to the doctor to go through the process of being checked for allergies.

TBH even without allergies, rashes are really common, so many irritants and stuff to cause rashes,at least if there is a rash, your bodies fights it! Whatever it is!
