I was bored, I drew all of these in just a little over an hour. Please do not claim the pictures as your own, for whatever reason you need them. Just ask for premission if you need to use one.

Yes, I know not all of them are tropical fish, but hey, might as well show them too. Yes, my actual name is Sam Bauer (in most pictures next to the copy right symbol), so I did not steal any work. Please comment. Thanks for looking!

Nice pics but a camera would have been quicker. I envy people who can draw. I can't even draw a good stick man. I end up with one leg too long and his head wop-sided.

Ya, but I only have one of those fish, drew them from looking at pictures, or from memory.

they are pretty good! you have the proportions and everything right but you know what would make them even better!? try using some shading and texture to make them jump out of the page. right now they look kinda flat if you know what i mean. when you are comfortable with that, try using some colour aswell!

good start though! :)

It's a start, the proprtions and shape are good. Try some shading and adding a background. This will give the work more depth, color can also add depth if you are not so hot with a pencil. Water colors can be easy to shade with. Pick a light source, this will help with shading. Also, if drawing is something you would like to become good at, you should start with still lifes, live animals and humans are the most difficult thing to draw.

Yes, I will gradually get into shading. Luckly, I am one of the very few people who have a photographic memory, so I just can remember a certain fish in my head! No still lifes for me! Remember, I just drew those in a little over an hour.

Not bad for an hour's work. Not bad at all. I am impressed

ah yes but its still good to practice skills by drawing from a reference, like still life.

Yes, I know, but I can not stand at all drawing something like a couch, or a tree.

They're lovely. I draw sometimes too and, like you, things that stay still annoy me :p Actualy, I've been drawing animals since I was very little and I've never used a live reference (except my dog a few times). I just make them up as I go along. I also can't always be bothered to add color. It seems a waste of time to add color when you simply don't want to. I'm not always after a realistic image anyway. I think your sketches are very nice the way they are. You don't need shading and color if you don't want it there and they are, otherwise, quite accurate representations. I especialy like the clown loach.

not a bad start, i love art. i agree that you should expand and widen your skills with shading and colour :) the finished product would look awesome after a bit of practise.
