Random Fish Pictures I Drew

Pixie25, thanks for the comment, but for some odd reason, I cannot stand coloring pictures. I just like plain old black-white sketches.

That's fair enough. You know what could look good though, if you like black and white, using ink to go over the pencil. Would really make the pictures strong and stand out :)

You talking about those really fine ink pens? The ones that come out and look all shiny neat? Cause if you are, you'll have trouble finding some up here in MN for some reason... I mean, I have found them, but yeesh, $10 for a pack of 2?

I was thinking more along the lines of liquid ink, that comes in a bottle and you paint it on using a fine paintbrush. I'm not sure how much a bottle of that would set you back though.

Hehe, let's see if we can even find that at a Michaels (It's an Arts & Crafts store) here.

they look quite good although the angels mouth doesnt look right

Yes, but that won't be for a while. Breeding bettas is my next thing I will attempt.

I really like arowanas. That arow drawing is pretty good! Can you put some large scales on the body? One of the things that attract me to arows is the large scales. They almost look like coins.

Sam - I love your sketches!

They're soooooo much better than I could ever do and I don't think there's any need for ink, background shading or colour. They're just quick sketches right, so why spend longer on them? You might just end up adding too much then people would complain about that too!

Oh, except for the yellow chichlid one (I think thats what it was but can't scroll back far enough without opening another window, and I'm feeling lazy :) ) - would probably be nice to see another accompanying sketch with a little colour for those of us who have no imagination.
:D

All in all, a good effort! Well done.

Ami

Ya, the whole reason I put the scientific name on the fish. You would never be able to tell the Electric Yellow was an elctric yellow. Personally, I think my oscar is the best.
