Ram With Poo Sticking Out

my gbr has got some poo coming out of its behind

it looks like a bloodoworm. i did feed bloodworms last night, could it just be one of them coming out

i have noticed it for the last 10mins but it could have been there a while before

can anyone help?

if he has been fed blood worms its fine, but his digestive system might be on the slow side, what are you feeding him and how often?

not a brilliant diet to be honest.

he should get flakes every few days, not every day, flakes should never be part of a staple diet for a cichlid.

you should be feeding meaty foods daily. feed blood worms once a week

and buy the gamma frozen range of these foods

brineshrimp with garlic
mysis
chopped prawn
chopped mussel

you can get them from the supermarket, but i would buy frozen from your LFS the gamma frozen foods, they are blasted with radiation to kill all pathogens.
so its 100% safe.

alternate so brineshrimp monday, mysis tuesday etc

Get some good quality cichlid pellets/sticks, these contain alot of the nutrients he/she needs, some veg in the diet can help to, try some tetra pro veggie crisps, instead of flakes.
