Rainbowfish Question

If I get a school of 15 Rainbowfish can I get 7 males and 8 females?

Why not?

10m/5f, or 5m/10f will be fine too, and anything in between. In fact, 15m/0f or 0m/15f would be ok too, if you don't care for breeding and natural behavior.

More important question is if your tank is large enough for 15 bows...

I'm not planing on having 15 rainbows, I was just curious.
