I've decided to lower the current in my planted 10G tank to house some of these little gems, was wondering how many I could put in a tank this size? I'm rearing them from eggs as supposed to trying to find them in lfs's or online and didn't want to get too many to house.

As this species is only short-lived, I would put in a viable spawning group to keep this species on a long term basis. Reports are different; some say males are very aggressive with eachother, others say they are fine as long as there are enough females around.

For that reason I would say: 2 -3 males and 6 females based on the fact that your tanks is planted.
