Rabbit Poo ? Is This Correct

Not sure if i am going mad to tell the truth i was reading the other day <wish i could remember link> that rabbit poo make a good fertiliser for plants in a fish tank. I just wondering is this true, Does it harm the fish, What do you do with it,

i was told this a long time ago i did try
it in a cold water tank on plants with some
results but have not tried it in a tropical
tank i am try to find out of some people
i know whether it would be OK with them
it was OK in a cold water tank but the plants
got eaten in the end i will let you know how i get
on finding out about it the guy who told me is now
since died so i will have to find someone else who used
to do it if not i will try myself

I wouldn't consider it to be a good option, rabbit poo isn't especially high in nutrients and having it rotting away will add extra ammonia and bleh.

curious more than any thing

Can any one recommend a good fertiliser for plant as there seem to be loads out there any if i honest i not really sure what i sould be looking for. I currently got 8 plants in my tank but that will be rising to about 15 soon max off 20.

Adding CO2 not a option for me as well. Cost is a little on the high side for me at the moment and a home brew one my kids would have the time off there life with it if you know what i mean

To be honest, Its quite a bit cheaper if you do some reading online and mix your own fertilizers from powder. Common products like stump remover (KNO3)can be found home improvement stores cheap, along with an array of other products that are basically just combined and mixed in all commercial "aquatic plant fertilizers". But if buying ready made is your thing I'd recommend root tabs from API and a liquid like Seachem Flourish

The best already mixed plant nutrients you can buy is tropicas plant nutrition + (TPN+) which is available from www.aquaessentials.co.uk

There is a TPN but its the TPN+ you want is it contains both micro and macro mutrients.
