R.I.P my gorgeous friend

You fought a long and painful battle for recovery, in the end you said goodbye and left this world.

You were fine yesterday morning, then I went upstairs yesterday evening and you were no-where to be seen. I searched and searched, then I found you. Laying on your side, dead still. You had blown your last bubbles before leaving, I can only think this meant "Thank you for trying, but I've got to go".

Goodbye, my fishy friend. Goodbye, my baby

He died at around about 10pm on the 27th June 2012 but this has been posted after midnight so I have counted it as yesterday...

He started tailbiting which led to fin-rot and then he just didn't respond to any treatment for it. I put an IAL and some Alder Cones in his section of the divided tank and he started to recover and then he was just... Gone.

I really did try my hardest to help him but he didn't respond to any medication, so I tried natural remedies which he started responding to and went 3/4 days healing and being active again and then he was just gone before I knew it.
I don't get why he was gone so quickly because he was fine, swimming around and eating that day and then I went upstairs and that's it.
