We were without power from Monday night until this morning due to a horrible ice storm that came on Monday. The house was freezing and I lost my batch of one month old fry and 2 other bettas. So far those are the only casualties, though. The fish are all warmed up but still stressed and pretty ticked off about being cold, so I hope they stay healthy and don't get sick on me. Oh, I didn't see my 2 peppered cories in the big tank...but they could be hiding, I'll keep an eye out for them, though.

So, R.I.P. little babies, Whisper, and Ifrit. :(

blimey that is really not good news, sorry for your lose,

Before the storm I lost my last 2 male breeders due to natural causes. I am so heartbroken over these losses and possible losses to come that I'm close to ready to giving up!

Oh, and since the filters were off then my 3 big tanks (65 gallon, 29 gallon, and 25 gallon) are most likely going to go through a "cycle" again *sigh* I just can't win when it comes to my fish these days.

Don't give up!! My aunt got hit with that storm too, she's been having trouble with her livestock....she said their trees are all broken. Sounds like it was a bad one. I'm sure your fish will recover, be patient, it's worth it. Good Luck!

I am so sorry for your loss. Years ago we were without power for four days and I lost every single fish in my 40 gallon tank. It was probably 15 years before I dared to set up a tank again. I'd like to get a generator just to protect my fish!

A HUGE massive hug for you, and many thoughts and prayers for your fish, what a horrible thing to have happen, I am so sorryxxx

Aww, that totally stinks. I got my betta not too long ago because he was abandoned. His water was freezing cold and he was half dead, but he is still alive and doesn't seem sick. I hope the best for yours as well. My friend in Oklahoma got hit with the ice storm that knocked out his power for a couple of days too. He had no heat either. :\

I am so sorry for your losses and giant hugs. I can understand how you must be feeling, but stick with it hun
