Quick Substrate Question

i brought some aquatic potting soil for my tank substrate in my new tank (well its supposed to be for pond plants and that) but i used it before in my previous tank and it worked well for me so i decided to go with that again

i wanted to keep a dark look to the tank so would it be okay if i left the soil in the bottom without capping it with sand ? its what i wanted to do but wasnt sure if it'd work ?

It will work. If it has sharp edges, I wouldn't recommend cories or loaches.

sounds good i will remember that for future reference, as for now im just gonna put a fine layer of small rounded gravel over the top to stop the water going cloudy
