Quick Question

Can anyone here with expieriance tell me if cockatoo cichlids will eat my cherry shrimp? all but one are about 1 inch in length and have a lot of hiding places. Thanks

not too much experience from me, but thats really ify, cherry shrimp are typically small, not the greatest size for shrimp. I would say that they will more then likely eat them. But thats my opinion, not for sure.

I wouldnt do it, i had cherry shrimp and would not have kept them with anything

awww man that sucks...i love the little critters, but i love cockatoo cichlids too are there any larger shrimp i could have with them?

instead of apistos, could i get guppies instead? or will they eat cherry shrimp too? also, are sparkling gouramis compatible for guppies? or would they fin nip...

Apisto's would pick off the cherries one by one mate... So stick with what you have.

Guppies should be fine with them though i would have thought (the bigger ones at least!) Also can't imagine there being a problem with Sparkling Gourami's and Guppies.
