hi.just bought at my lps 3 endlers .well one had a missing eye so i saw it and went back and gave me another so now 4.there about 1/2 a inch.i wasnt going to put them in the main tank incase they get eat.so my breeding trap is there should i put them in there with my red cherry shrimp? or will they get eat?
thanks

HI USING A BREEDING TRAP IS A GOOD IDEA I NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT... GOOD ON YOU ANYWAY HOW BIG ARE THE FISH IN THE MAIN TANK.

BUT AGAIN WELL DONE FOR USING THE BREEDING TRAP U MUST HAVE ALOT OF COMMON SENSE UNLIKE ME!!!

thanks
well i did it with my cherry shrimp as there small and thought well if there is a possibilty of getting eat illl put them in a trap. well some are about 5 '

no it wouldnt of been.i dont know if there going to get eat.do i ?they just seem small enough they could be.

that breeding trap is gonna be way too overcrowded, though i think it unlikely the cherries would eat the endlers. They are shy in new surroundings, and didn't you just get them? Also I don't really know much about endlers, but aren't they quick little guppy type fish? A breeding trap would not make them happy if that's the case. They would be too confined.

If you really think there is a risk that they will be eaten you should take them back to the store or put them in another tank (provided one is handy).

one isnt handy.ive wanted these for a year and im keeping them.
the trap is fine.there small its big to them and its not for long
if they go in the main tank my ghost shrimp could eat them as hes big,im waiting till hes older

no not poor fish at all.there safe with me
there in a trap arnt they

[sarcasm]yeah a trap is ful of space which they need dont you all know we should all copy :good: we should all buy fish which are small enough to be eaten and over stock a breeding net where they will be stressed and most likely die [/sarcasm]

Everyone has a point you can't even keep fry ina breeding net for more than a couple of weeks without a risk of seriously stunting there growth so how do you think it will affect the endlers? It's just not good for them.

if you're going to ask for advice and not listen to a word of it until someone says what you want to hear (which i'm guessing is yes they'll be fine in a breeding net with your shrimp! (which they won't)) then don't bother for asking for advice.

what else is in your tank? i would buy another tank for the endlers or take them back and get endlers again when you're actually READY to provide a suitable home for them. a breeding net is not a permanent home for ANY creature.
